My Secret Obsession...

My name is Rachel and I am a Shopaholic...

My obsession is not clothes, or shoes or any of the many things that the usual shopaholic loves to buy. What is my obsession... Beads and Jewellery supplies.Unfortunately I am also a hoarder. This month alone I have spent a fortune on new beads and components, but many of which may never see the light of day. Why, because I can't let go. I get my supplies in the post and love them so much I can't bear to use them and risk selling. Silly really.

So, this month I am making a vow. I will not buy any "new" supplies (of course I am a business so I need to buy basic supplies like wire and headpins, and existing materials for items currently instore).

So my challenge for the next few weeks is to 'let go' of those gorgeous items I have purchased in the past but have been hesistant to use because I love them so much, like these spectacular lampwork beads I purchased early Feb.

What a challenge, but I am looking forward to it.

  1. I can relate! It is so hard to let these stunning bits and pieces go! Beautiful lampwork beads!

  2. I'm so glad you shared Rachel! I do the same thing. I have beads in my stash that have been there for at least 5 years because I can't bear to part with them :)

  3. oh this is me but with paper supplies - i also am not going to buy anything new until i use up a lot of what I already have!!
    its a good challenge...

  4. Thanks guys, Anastasia we will have to compare at the end of the month to see if we succeeded in our goal, LOL.

  5. love those lampwork beads : P

congratulations! you have been awarded the Stylish blogger award.

  6. Wow, i love those beads. Especially the cloudy ones, but the other ones are great too, so delicate.

Yeah, let it all go, it will free you up, just think about how much beauty and fun you can share with this world. I mean you obviously got great taste!;) I need to use some of the vintage fabrics i collected, it's gonna be fun, i hope.
