With the start of the new year I decided it was time for a new logo for RMD Jewellery that was more indicative of the future direction of the store. The designer created a style of logo that is very me, but gave me too many options for colour choices, luckily I narrowed it down to 2.
My problem is I can't decide which colour I like so thought I would turn to the public and the people who buy my jewellery for help. I love the blue, its so fresh and summery, but the purple is also very classy and would suit the work I will be adding to the store throughout the year.
This year I am expanding my range to include alot more high end one of a kind or limited edition pieces made with a mix of silver, gold and precious gemstones so need a logo that suits both my affordable every day range but also works will with higher priced work to come in 2013.
I would love your help and opinions, so I am running a competition to get some assistance from everyone out there to help me decide.
One luck voter will receive a lovely bubbles hoop pendants in Fine Silver/Enamel retailing for $55 or a $50 voucher to spend instore if preferred.
Vote for your choice by noting your colour preference (Purple or Blue) in comments and receive one entry to win. Receive more entries for every tweet* or facebook like** to help spread the competition around so I can get as many opinions as possible. Just leave your twitter or Facebook reference in comments with your colour choice.
Look forward to hearing your opinions as to which colour works best.

the blue is pretty, but I vote for the purple - very elegant & sophisticated.
ReplyDeleteHard choice, but I prefer the blue one as it is bright and cheerful.
ReplyDeleteThe purple is classy but I have to vote for the blue, pretty and fresh and most importantly because it stands out, eye catching.

I love The Blue colour, reminds me of the Sky and the sea, as you said Fresh and summery :)
ReplyDeleteI believe that the blue design stands out more and looks bright and fresh.
ReplyDeleteI vote purple! Mainly because:
ReplyDelete- It's more classy
- It's more unique
- A damask-style border (like the back of the logo) would look nicer in purple than blue

ReplyDeleteBlue for the fresh appeal
ReplyDeleteI like the purple - but pink would be my favourite!

ReplyDeletePurple for me; subdued yet noticable.
ReplyDeleteI like the blue because the word Jewellery gets lost infront of the purple. You can clearly see RMD in the blue.
ReplyDeleteI prefer the purple but I have to say the blue is a great colour, just the font of the RMD is very country and instead of thinking jewellery when I look at the logo, I expect to see something to do with cowboy boots, not sure why. Anyone else?
ReplyDeleteBlue! And thats saying something. I love purple but I think the blue really makes it pop! (Its a BRILLIANT shade!)
ReplyDeleteI love blue but this blue although summery and fresh just doesn't seem to be the right shade of blue, its TOO light and bright. Of the two I prefer the purple - its crisp and classy
ReplyDeleteI think it would be better as pink, like the top of the page...just saying!
ReplyDeletePurple is definitely more classy.
ReplyDeleteI vote the Blue, but just a touch darker. It's just not quite the right shade. The Purple is too sombre.
